2) International Mineralogical Association (IMA) Meeting 2022 –Call for sessions
The 23rd International Mineralogical Association General Meeting will be held in Lyon, France, from 18-22 July 2022. The aim of this meeting is to paint mineralogy with the colors of space exploration at the light of recent results of missions such as Hayabusa or Mars 2020. Alongside the more traditional mineralogy, we want to inspire the new generation and make a step closer toward the final frontier.
As part of its efforts to make a general meeting that is as broad and inclusive as possible, IMA2022 welcomes session proposals within but not limited to the main themes of the conference:
Mineral systematics, regrouping, for example, new minerals and classification of minerals;
Physics and chemistry of minerals, assembling sessions about the physical and chemical properties of minerals and of rocks, various spectroscopies, and methods of investigation of minerals;
Ores and ore mineralogy, covering sessions about mineral deposits of economic interest or ore minerals;
Mineralogy and petrology, grouping general aspects of mineralogy and its relation to petrological studies;
Planetary mineralogy, covering sessions about minerals on other bodies of the solar system and beyond, planetary exploration, and space missions;
Planetary interiors, regrouping sessions about the constituents of planets, and behaviour of minerals at extreme conditions of pressures and temperature;
The dynamical world of minerals, covering sessions about mineral reactions, and mineral evolution.
Each session proposal will need to include a concise description of the scientific topic that presents enough arguments to show its timeliness and relevance to the field of mineralogy. The proposals will be focused on science and/or science policy.
The sessions proposals will be reviewed by the scientific committee.

3) Atelier ExoSystèmes II | 30 Novembre au 2 Décembre 2021 | Toulouse
La deuxième édition de la série d’ateliers ExoSystèmes se tiendra, en présentiel, sur trois jours pleins du 30 Novembre au 2 Décembre 2021, à l’Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées à Toulouse. Cette série d’ateliers a pour but de structurer les communautés stellaire et (exo-)planétaire françaises autour de la formation et l’évolution des systèmes étoiles-planètes, en favorisant et en renforçant les synergies instrumentales, observationnelles et théoriques de nos communautés sur cette thématique.
Ce deuxième atelier aura pour thème général 'Structure’. Quatre sessions sont anticipées: (i) structure interne et atmosphères (exo-)planétaires, (ii) multiplicité stellaire et planétaire: architecture orbitale des exosystèmes, (iii) structures dans les disques protoplanétaires: exosystèmes en formation? et (iv) structure et activité stellaires: effets sur la détection et l’évolution planétaires. Nous encourageons tout particulièrement les jeunes chercheuses et chercheurs à soumettre des contributions orales pour cet atelier.
Comme au premier atelier, une demi-journée pratique ‘hands on computer’ sera organisée, elle permettra cette année de se familiariser avec des outils utilisés pour la caractérisation des atmosphères d'exoplanètes et la spectro-polarimétrie. Une demi-journée est également prévue pour des discussions générales.

4) Workshop “Planet Mars 5” | 24-29 April 2022 | Les Houches, France
We are pleased to announce the “Planet Mars 5” workshop that is taking place from 24 to 29 April 2022 in les Houches.
This workshop was initially planned for May 3 - 8, 2020, but was cancelled due to the Covid crisis. All participants registered for the May 2020 session have been invited to re-apply for the 2022 session. The number of confirmations leads to about 15 positions available for new participants.
The deadline for registration is 26 November, 2021. Students and postdocs are especially encouraged to register and to submit a poster.

5) Workshop The Future of Airborne Infrared/Submm Astronomy: Instrument Solutions | 17-19 of November 2021 | On line
I would like to announce a three-day online workshop entitled
"The Future of Airborne Infrared/Submm Astronomy: Instrument Solutions"
to be held on 17-19 of November 2021.
This online workshop will discuss technological options for new Infrared/Submm instrumentation. The focus will be on devices carried by airborne platforms that can be built within the next decade by European institutions, in order to fill the large gap for the astronomical community, until new space observatories for these wavelengths become available again. It is the second of two workshops, where the first, held in July 2021, provided the scientific priorities of European Infrared/Submm astronomy with a clear need for continuing observational capabilities at these wavelengths.

Nous vous sollicitons pour proposer des sujets de stage de M2 à nos étudiants du Master Planétologie et Exploration Spatiale et vous remercions par avance de diffuser cette annonce dans votre entourage. Nos étudiants ont un parcours initial en physique, chimie et/ou géosciences et nous les formons aux différents aspects de la Planétologie (surface, atmosphère, météorites, exobiologie, plasma, exoplanètes, petits corps...).
Les stages dureront 4 mois minimum, de début mars à fin juin.

At RIKEN (Star and Planet Formation Laboratory, Cluster for Pioneering Research),
a staff scientist position (an indefinite-term employment) is available. Details about

The successful candidate is expected to lead researches on spectroscopy of molecules in astronomical interests
in the millimeter and submillimeter regimes**. By using the spectroscopic knowledge, she/he is also expected
to enhance her/his studies to understand molecular formation in interstellar clouds as well as protoplanetary-disk
forming region. Depending on necessity, the successful candidate may also start any other study related to the theme.
Successful candidate is also expected to be involved in the group management to help the PI and takes charge of
various tasks in the group. Japanese language skills are welcome but not mandatory.
**Since it is interdisciplinary field, young researchers, who are courageous enough to jump into new fields, are welcome.
