1) Recensement des codes communautaires
L'INSU AA continue de travailler à un recencement et à l'organisation des codes communautaires. Le groupe de travail présidé par J.-P. Berger, Président de la CSAA, propose sa vision des codes communautaires et de leur besoin en organisation dans le document attaché. A terme, il est envisagé de créer une nouvelle ANO dédiée aux codes communautaires et d'ouvrir une procédure de labellisation.
Vous pouvez envoyer au CS du PNP vos commentaires, remarques et suggestions sur le document en l'état actuel et avant sa finalisation en novembre.
Si vous n'avez pas pu participer au rencensement des codes communautaires effectué en avril-mai dernier, vous pouvez toujours nous transmettre les informations suivantes:
nom et type de code (eg Monte Carlo, grille fixe, AMR, particules, PIC, méthode spectrale, etc.),
applications scientifiques limitées au champ d’expertise du PNP ou plus vastes,
estimation FTE développeurs limitée au champ d’expertise du PNP,
estimation communauté servie (FTE utilisateurs) limitée au champ d’expertise du PNP,
nombres d’heures de calcul utilisées par an (Mesocentres + Genci + Prace + international) limitée au champ d’expertise du PNP
une projection sur les ~5 ans à venir expliquant les évolutions attendues pour le code, les étapes (scientifiques ou techniques) importantes.
Comment est structurée l'activité autour du développement du code et de l'interaction avec sa communauté d'utilisateurs?
Quels sont les manques dans l'organisation actuelle autour du code de simulation et quels seraient les avantages qu'apporteraient une labellisation ?

L’EAI vient de réélire pour 2 ans (2020-2022) son Chair (W. Geppert) et ses deux Vice-Chairs (J. Brucato et M. Gargaud) et tiendra sa prochaine conférence du 16 au 21 avril 2021 à La Palma aux Canaries. Nous vous convions d’ores et déjà à retenir ces dates.
Par ailleurs, l’EAI recherche toujours des membres pour participer à ces différents groupes de travail. 5) Master Planétologie / Appel à sujets de stage de niveau M2

Nous sollicitons les chercheurs des équipes de planétologie pour proposer des sujets de stage de M2 à nos étudiants du Master Planétologie et Exploration Spatiale - Ile de France et vous remercions par avance de diffuser cette annonce dans votre entourage. Nos étudiants ont un parcours initial en physique, chimie et/ou géosciences et nous les formons aux différents aspects de la Planétologie (surface, atmosphère, météorites, exobiologie, plasma...).
Les stages dureront 4 mois minimum, de début mars à fin juin.

Description
The Liaison Scientist, who reports to the Head of the Science Division in the Science and Operations Department of the Directorate of Science, is responsible for promoting and communicating ESA’s Science Programme to the Member States’ scientific community. You will also report functionally to the Head of the Contents Office in the News & Contents and Internal Communications Division of the ESA Communications Department to support the definition and execution of ESA’s communications activities on space science, acting as liaison with ESA’s Communications Department.
Duties
Develop and maintain the ESA Science Programme communication strategy vis-à-vis the Member States’ scientific community;
Liaise with the Science Project Scientists to understand their missions’ community-specific communication interests and to support them with implementation as part of the communication strategy;
Liaise and cooperate closely with the Science Programme Communication Officer to help identify important content relevant to ESA’s communication strategies vis-à-vis both the scientific community and the general public;
Manage, for the Science Programme, the Communication Plan aimed at the scientific community, and contribute to the Annual Communication Plan aimed at the general public and to the Communication Budget Plan for Science;
Manage the Directorate of Science’s online presence focused on the scientific community, using the posting and production resources shared with ESA Communications;
Provide communications support for scientific community events such as scientific workshops and conferences, and annual international meetings;
Organise the content necessary for the production of videos, graphics, animations (2D, 3D, and interactive virtual reality) focused on the scientific community;
Oversee/coordinate the production of content and imagery using the data of operations missions, including those of the Hubble and Webb telescopes.
Technical competencies
Background in one or more of the following domains: solar systems science, astrophysics, space science

A PhD degree in astronomy, planetary science or solar physics is required.
Additional requirements

Broad range of scientific interests;
Experience in developing communication strategies and planning communication campaigns (including in social media);
Experience in scientific writing and/or developing content and visual material for science communication;
Fluency in Spanish, German, French, Italian or Dutch would be an additional asset.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
The Agency may require applicants to undergo selection tests.
